Battle Ground Academy, located in Franklin, Tennessee (about sixteen miles south of Nashville) is a college preparatory day school, pre-kindergarten through grade 12, with a student body of about 920 students.

Founded in 1889, the school has a long and rich heritage, steeped in tradition and history. Presently, the school operates in three divisions -- Lower School (pre-K - 4) located on the Harpeth Campus; Middle School (5-8) on the South Campus; and Upper School (9-12) on the North Campus. All three campuses are in close proximity to one another. The North Campus is the newest of the three.

The school is served by 100 faculty members with Heads of each division, as well as a Headmaster. Approximately one-half of the faculty hold advanced degrees.
